Motor Homes Campers

As you might imagine, campervan hire companies may have let their vehicles out to clients who for whatever reason have needed to drop off the vehicles here or there at the end of the hire period. Whatever the reason the van is not where the hire company needs it to be available for the next client. Now instead of paying someone or maybe getting a staff member to go fetch it they have an option where appropriate to let that vehicle out and at a substantial discount for a client who can be a little more flexible about their pick-up and drop-off points. The company need to move campervans around the country and the hirer does the “Campervan Relocation” a “win-win” situation for all. a. The company gets the vehicle relocated and b. The hirer gets the camper van or motorhome vacation at a knockdown price. Like the sound of that? Yes please!

If the hirer were moving it from the company’s depot to another company depot type of situation then there would probably not be too many issues with the van being ready to roll. However, I for one would be prepared for and especially where the pick up location were not of the same companies to a bit of self initiative type of stuff like checking the tyres, engine consumables and other essentials to be sure that I didn’t get into unforeseen difficulties and even more so for long trips.

It could be that anticipating some maintenance type of issues in advance might get you an even better deal or at least some money back at the end if you have had to shell out on replacements or the van was really dirty when you found it. Perhaps a bit of flexibility and negotiation is needed on both sides.
